Our recommendations:

1. Avoid burning a candle for more than three hours at a time .
Burning a candle for more than three hours can cause the wick to become too long or short, leading to a larger flame and increased soot production, or the candle may simply stop burning.
2. Trim the wick before relighting the candle .

3. Instead of blowing out the candle, simply place a lid on it.
Blowing out a candle can create soot, which can stain surfaces and create a smoky smell. It can also cause the wax to spatter or create an uneven surface, which will affect future burning.
4. Be careful when placing a lit candle on surfaces.
Flammable materials can easily ignite from the heat or flame of a candle, leading to dangerous situations. Heat-sensitive surfaces can warp, melt or discolor due to the heat of a candle, causing permanent damage.
